Wind measurement is the first step in wind park design process and reliable measurment results are necessary base for proper design and optimization including reliable funding sources. Wind measurement is done with meteorological measurement masts (met masts) consisted from high raised column carrying measurement equipment for wind potential (anemometers, wind vanes, temperature sensors etc.). During measurement campaign it is advisable to have met mast height the same or close to the height of future wind turbine generators. This should provide more accurate data and more precise prediction of future AEP predictions.
Construction solutions for met mast could be column based or lattice based.
